SONA 2018

President Rodrigo Duterte delivered his State of the Nation Address or SONA on July 23, 2018 at Batasan Pambansa in Quezon City. He talked about War on Drugs, Human Rights, War Against Corruption, Bangsamoro Organic Law, War on Terror, Foreign Relation, West Philippine Sea, Migrant workers, Coconut Farmers, Trust Fund, Third Telecom Players, Boracay Rehabilitation, National Land Use Act, Disaster Preparedness, Responsible Mining, Tax Reform Law, Food Security, Universal Healthcare Bill, Charter Change, completely. His words of wisdom captured the hearts of many Filipinos.

Honestly, this is my first time to watch President's SONA and yet he impressed me so much that I could imitate his words, but not really. Yes, he captured my heart. When he said that he cares about human lives, I felt like I was protected. And yes I am protected, we are protected. He even said that he is concerned about the present and future. What really captured my heart is that he said that he will not allow the crimes to destroy the succeeding generations. This captured my heart because we, students are the succeeding generations. He said that he will not allow crimes to destroy the future. "Not during my turn" he said.

He truly is a father. He was made to inspire us. He knows the problems, our problems, and he knows how to solve it. We just wait. I hope all his plans for this country will be implemented.

Plant and Be Strong

Children, even some teenagers nowadays are belittling farmers and they say “they are just farmers”. Why do they belittle farmers? Because they are working with mud and their parents are working with computers, papers, and no flaws on their hands? Because farmers are working under the sun causing sunburned skins while their parents are working inside a room with air conditioner? Why? Why don’t they think about it carefully? When there are no farmers, can they eat? Can we eat? Can we get nutritious foods?

I knew it. Children don’t give farmers importance because children nowadays are growing up with processed foods and they don’t care about the farmers’ plants. For their breakfast, hotdog, noodles, tocino and other processed foods. When they go to school, their lunch are tocino again or hotdog again. They are used to eat unhealthy foods. They are not aware of healthy foods especially fruits and vegetables, why? Because they don't know how to plant  because they are concentrating on their gadgets and don't care about these. They maybe don't even know what are vegetable plants look like. So as we can see, many children nowadays easily get diseases. They are so lame that they could not play outdoor games like sports. Can we see now the pattern? If do not plant, we cannot gain healthy foods and without healthy foods, we can't be strong.

Now, we should learn how to plant and we should teach the children too. They don't know how to plant? Then let's teach them. Let them know the importance of planting and let us do it daily. We all want to be strong so let us unite and fill this world with healthy foods.

My Letter to the Honorable President

 Dear Mr. President,

At first, during the elections, I didn't know you so I didn't want you. I even told my    father to vote Grace Poe instead of everyone. But I was just a little girl then. When my father told me that he would vote you, me be like "who is Duterte Everyone in our barangay wanted to vote you. Tricycle drivers, vendors, they all have that poster containing "DU30". And then you won.

On your first days, I didn't believe on what you said that "change is coming". I didn't believe you. But the days passed and I learned to accept you. Yes you are a good leader. You are intelligent, you are brave, you know a lot about law and that's why you impressed me more. Yes the change came. The drug users in the Philippines decreased and still decreasing under your rules. You are strict.

Another one,  you implemented the "No Assignment Policy". We, students were very happy to know that. You were so good. I was so thankful for what you implemented. But I'm so sorry to say Sir, I can't afford to be a fan of you. Because every time I hear you speak, there are always bad words on what you are saying.  I am not a fan but I am not a hater Sir.

Thank you Sir for all the goods you've done to the Philippines. I just hope now sir that your project is to decrease the poor people in this country.  Jahn Supnet Sir and that's all thank you.

Sincerely Yours,

A Day to Remember

Every year, Filipinos are celebrating the Philippine Independence Day. Every month of June, Philippine Flags are displayed everywhere and news are all about Independence Day. But some students, they are only celebrating because no classes at June 12. Even some workers.

But why do we really celebrate Independence Day?

Before recognizing the independence of the Philippines, Filipinos suffered from the merciless of the invaders. They treated Filipinos as their slaves. Filipinos couldn't do what they wanted to do. But there went the brave heroes, without thinking about their lives, fought for the Philippines. They succeeded and finally liberated. And now, we are celebrating it as "Philippine Independence Day".

We are celebrating Independence Day because finally, we have now freedom. the most important , we are celebrating to honor the heroes who fought for the freedom of the Philippines. Now, we can live our lives peacefully. We can now do things we want to do. We can now achieve our dreams.
